I am redecorating/restoking my mini planted five gallon,any suggestions?it has had guppies before so i am looking for something differant.

walmart beta are nice. They clean up well, from my experience. One of mine I thought was black when I bought him, but really he's red and green. Poor things. I love bettas, guppies, and plattys. Mollys are cute, too.
What rams are you talking about? A 5 gallon is way too small for any ram I can think of, much less using it for breeding purposes. Rams also can get pretty aggressive when breeding, and that will not go over well in such a tight space. Where would they put the babies? A 10 gallon is cramped for rams, let alone a 5 gallon.

hmmm...i allready have a betta tank but want something colour full,i am not iterested in breeding anything(although i have room cause i breed my guppies)because i allready have a lot of guppy fry.
I don't know of any cichlid from any part of the world that is in any way appropriate for a 5g tank.
If you want colour, you could do:
5 Endler's (male only - the females are too large, plus they'll reproduce)
-OR-
3 Endler's (again, male only) and 1 shrimp or 1 snail
-OR-
Another betta tank
-OR-
3 Sparkling/Pygmy Gourami and 1 shrimp or 1 snail
-OR-
1 Paradise Gourami and 1 shrimp or 1 snail
-OR-
5 freshwater Bumblebee Goby
If you want something more unusual, you could do:
1 freshwater Dwarf Puffer and 3 Otocinclus
-OR-
3 African Dwarf Frogs
NOTE: DPs, Otos, and ADFs can all be finicky eaters, and have special dietary needs. Some DPs and ADFs will only accept live food and/or need to be handfed. Many Otos will not accept supplemental foods, and if you cannot grow enough algae, they will starve. DO NOT get them if you are not prepared to meet these needs.
