Saltwater ich vs freshwater ich

I know they are different critters (salt vs freshwater ichs). Concerning saltwater ich, what are treatment options for fish in a FOWLR tank, reef tank, etc. Will cleaner shrimp take care of ich? Thanks.

Hypo salinity is the one of the best cures for saltwater ich in marine systems aswell as a good diet including garlic....Cleaners do help a bit in an Ich situtation..Other methods of treating Ich are Copper and formalin in the QT tank..A UV will also help to remove Ich when the paracite gets to the swimming stage.

in addition to that one of the forms of saltwater "ich" will embed itself under the fishes mucus layer and is then "immune" to many treatments...bet way to teat it is to provide a stress less environment for the fish and kill the larval form using a uv or organic med.
