Powerhead Needed?

I am going to be setting up a 66 gallon SA/CA cichlid tank and was wondering if I need to get a powerhead (without UG filter of course) to provide air to the tank, or whould it be better to get a plain old air pump and air stone. I will be using an AC 500 for filtration will that provide enough without a powerhead or pump, or should I get a powerhead/airpump? Thanks!

Get the tank going with the powerhead, and if the fish are at the top gasping for air, get the ph. The AC 500 is rated at 500 gph, and after the media addition, you should still be getting a good turnover of 3-4X per hour.
