just thought i would share my horrible experince of cyano with you!! it came soon after setting up, once my cycle was going. The evil red cyano started appearing on the sand bed. I expected an algae bloom, but a month later, it was still there. i got a couple of clowns. hoping that the bloom would die, but it was getting worse, a lot worse. my tank looked rubbish, my live rock wa turning red.
Last week i got some rowaphos, and added it to my canister filter. reduced feedings and decreased lighting period.
viola..... exactly one week later no cyano to be seen.
i am now happy.:dance2:
