I have an AquaClear 70 running on low in a 29 gallon tank. I have just added two tiny fancy goldfish (for several months, just until the 125 is ready) and even with plants and impeding decorations, I feel the current is still too strong for them. How do I adjust or otherwise redirect this type of flow? I'm getting an aggressive current clear across the tank that is even pulling up small stems of established glossostigma. This is my first AquaClear and I've never had this sort of problem before. Would slotting a piece of aquarium sponge at the exit point work, or would it overflow the tank? I've run out of tricks and would appreciate any words of wisdom. I realize getting a different filter would be a solution, I'm just hoping to work with this one for a couple of months.
