Fin Damage HELP

for over a year i`ve had a pair of common clowns & they have got on GREAT from day one but every so often during the odd day are so they play fight this contains body shacking tail hitting & the occasional nip on tail fin side fins & the fins have always recovered but the smaller clown around 6months ago had a nip on his top fin & its never grow back nothing to big but today i`ve noticed that his top fin has had a few nips to many & the bone/vain!!?? tips are visible two of them
but im sure i`ve read somewhere that this is bad if not very very bad please help anyone had similar problems ?

i would treat it with something like melafix in a hospital tank. my blue tang never had half her tail form when i saved her. i reversed the HLLI but the tail never came back...she seems happy though.

I was going to recommend Melafix as well. Although it may be easier to let it recover on its own and remove the aggressive tankmate so the other one can have a more peaceful environment. Adding the aggressive tankmate back may help matters since the injured one will have its own territory in the main tank and the aggressive one will have to "start all over" in a sense.
