Ok, can you give me a list of supplys for a 12 or 14g nano? and how to get it started and how long i should wait??

and here is my stocking plan:

x2 Neon Blue Gobys (grow up to 2")
x1 Yellow Clown Goby (grow up to 1.5")
x1 Blk Clown Goby (grow up to 1.5")
x1 Firefish (grows to 3")

Or if I skipped the Firefish, could i get an extra Blk clown and Yellow clown??
or could i already get those?

ok, the easiest thing for you to do is do a search on the marine newbie section for " 12g nano "...this will give you quite a few results to read through as there are quite a few people on here who have setup Nano's over the last few months and these threads will also list what equipment they eventually purchased...If you stil have questions further, then by all means, shout up here...

Looking at your fish list and straight away, its far too many fish for a 12 gallon tank...In my opinion, your only looking at 3 small fish in there, maximum...

Inverts...forget the seastar, 5 hermits maximum is plenty, 5 snails should be plenty...Shrimps i dont see a problem with....

i would go with just a few fish for a 12 gallon thats a lot...maybe drop one of the fish.

Yeah, that is overstocked. i guess now (im surprised  ) im "allowed" to have a 30g SW tank!!

heres my new plan (seeing as these clown gobys apparently are not agressive in larger aquariums, and i guess they consider "larger" bigger than nano  )

x1 Royal Gramma
x1 Jawfish
x1 Firefish
x2 Green Clown Gobys
x2 Citrinis Clown Gobys
x2 Brown Clown Gobys
x2 Neon Blue Gobys

x3 Sexy Shrimp
x2 Cleaner Shrimp
x1 Blue Tuxedo Urchin
x2 Marble Sea Stars
x12 Nerite Snails
x12 Cerith Snails
x12 Dwarf Zebra Hermits
x12 Scarlet Reef Hermits

2 dozen empty snail shells (50/50 of 1-1.5" and 2")

still asking if this is appropriate, if fiji LR would be good, and how to cycle, set up, etc. a SW tank (gimme a good and informative website (sides this 1) PLZ!!)

might not do the jawfish..due to they need deep sand beds. but looks great! glad u can get a bigger tank! thats always a plus.

Oh well. I thought the jawfish were pretty ;)

could i get a purple firefish to keep company with the normal one or should i seek a small blenny (maybe 2-spot?)

P.S: thank you very much for your help and seeing where problems may lie!!

mixing firefish isnt usually a good idea but they get along with almost all other fish

You could still not have that many fish in a 30 Gal tank, its far too many..you want 6 small fish maximum....Would still not do the seastars or the urchin..

10 hermits is more than enough, 10 snails aswell...remember, if there is nothing there for them to graze on, they will starve...and that many cleaners in one tank will soon clear it out and you will end up constantly providing food....

Just my opinion mind you...

most books/suppliers and online sources say approximately 1 inch of fully grown fish per 4 gallons of water in a full reef tank, or 1 inch per 2 gallons in a fish only set up, though this might help.
Im also looking at a tank about your size (130l) and i am looking at 3 maybe 4 fish (all 3inch approx fully grown) a clown, goby with a pistol shrimp they pair together shrimp burrows a hole goby watches for predators out due to shrimps poor eyesight, a fire fish and possible a damsel or something else,
good luck from another newbie
