Your talking about volume in the tank... Ok, the best thing to do is, is if your LFS lets you handle and play with the LR, then grab the least dense pieces, as these will have more surface area, take up more room in your tank, and ultimately be more beneficial. Pick them out of the water, and if they feel heavy for there size, don't go for it. Obviously there are other factors, like shape and what it is covered with. I'll dig up a pic of 60kg and post it for you, just have to find it.

Ok, this is approx 60kg or 132 pounds, so imagine one third. This is a 4x2x2, and the rock was very light for its mass. Just take away the corals and stuff, and it will give you an idea on how you can build it up. These picks are about 5 years old.

gah....wow i am off...i musta been blind last night u didnt even ask for price did u....wow. sry about that. i agree with noskimer that it depends on the density of the rock and that u want the less dence or more pours rock for more surface area. really all depends on the shapes of rock.

40lbs can look very different depending on LR type and density. I think that Carribean LR is supposed to be less dense, thereby taking up more volume with less rock.
That is a Valentini Puffer. I am willing to accept the limitations that it creates in stocking because of the puffer's great personality and appearance.
