My tank is getting brown algae on the fake plants and heater...and since its discus tank and 84 usually algae eaters are out of the question correct? I didn't want to use any chemicals, and I have 5 ghost shrimp in the tank also. Is there any peaceful algae eater that wont stick to the sides of the discus and that could tolerate higher temps?

I was able to keep gold ansistrus with my discus.

but I tried ottos and they sucked on the sides of them.

84 is not a big leap for most cats to handle, after all, they are from the same habitats.

just watch for the fish sucking on the sides of the discus. Discus can be very tasty, especially when breeding...

This discus hatchery that claims to be the largest in North America uses and sells albino bristlenose.
