i read on another forum that they can go in a community tank? true or false?
 
True.

Depending on the tankmates. If it fits in the mouth they will eat it.

Otherwise I have had them in community tanks for years.
 
no neons then huh :) ? my severums are small. so maybe i will put one in my community tank for now and see what happens.
