I have considered before starting a saltwater, and after being in freshwater for about 2 years, I'm pretty sure I really do want to start saltwater. I was thinking about possibly getting a 12 gallon nano cube, although I may be able to get a 29 gallon long. I would get a bigger tank, but I can't due to my lack of space. I was wondering if these sizes would be ok, what supplies such as filters etc would be good, and some good references (websites or books.) Any help would be appreciated!

i am not sure about 12 gal... and it's sure hard to start. i prefer use 40 gal at least.... well

use life rock and life sand for filter. and it's sure enough....
i still don't have any exp in 12 gal though... so i am not sure about the filter

my first saltwater was a 29 gallon and i loved it. but ull find yourself wanting bigger very soon, so i would recommend getting the largest u can afford. and as a great source, well this is one...lol ac has tons of wonderful posts and sticky threads
