Got a copperband at the weekend, and i think its awesome. What do you suggest feeding it. I was gonna make my own home made frozen from, shrimp, mussel, squid krill, mysis and garlic. Would that be ok?
They're supposed to be difficult to move to frozen / prepared foods. Just start with small portions in the beginning. How much live rock is in your tank? If you could hide some small feather dusters in your rock work, it would be helpful to its diet - which really seems to be the key with these beautiful fish. Good luck! Post some pictures up!
try using live brine with frozen to get it to eat, then supplement mysis in with the mixture and it should ween to frozen, also they should have a b-fly formula as well in their diet if they will eat it. keep in mind they are not reef safe and have a poor survival rate, good luck thought! remember if proper care is taken almost nothing is impossible
yes, they pick on things. mine was picking at my clam and ate all my feater dusters. i got this guy for aiptasia control and very happy with him, but my pepermint shrimp did a better job by wiping out huge areas of aiptasia overnight while my copperband was too busy looking for feather duster worms.
i've got a little copper band too, but it doesnt seem to eat the frozen bloodworms nor flakes that i feed my clowns with.. it keep pecking on rocks and a live coral that i have.. i'm worried abt his diet..
