Hi, I need more help. Can someone identify this coral? It came with my 50g reef tank. There is some star polyp for comparison near the bottom of the picture. THANKS!

hard to tell...looks kinda like a galaxia coral...but not completely, is it a soft or hard coral?

It is soft. Each individual lump has a small mouth that opens to feed. At night, it shrinks up.

Okay, the LFS said it is a hairy mushroom colony.

if it was soft that was my guess some sort of rechordia or carpet nem. glad u figured it out
