I have an AGA 7 gallon Bowfront, it has a 14 watt fixture that I would like to add some extra light to. Does anyone know if the AH supply double 13 watt kit would fit in my fixture, Or does anyone know of a retrofit-kit that would fit?
BTW the 14 watt fixture I have is a couple inches shorter than a 15 watt fixture that goes over a ten gallon. I can give exact dimensions if they're needed.

They retrofitted a 10g hood with 2 13w PCF's. Would this do the trick?

No, I can't fit a normal ten gallon hood over the aquarium, its shorter than that.:(
I tried emailing ah supply, but never got a response.
I was hoping someone who has used their retrofit kit knows if I can squeeze one in my hood?

Go to their home page and scroll down to the customer service number. Give them the dimensions and they'll tell you what options you have in this case.
BTW, I wrote them an e-mail a week ago and got a response this morning, so although they are slow to answer, I think you'll get a reply should you decide to wait.

The email WAS sent over a week ago. I'll send another though.
The dimensions of the hood are:
L 15 3/8" X W 3 ½" X H 2 ¼"
I appreciate everyone's responses. :)

I'm not sure I understand exactly. You want more light and currently have 14watts. Is that light going to stay there and you gave us the dimensions of the space you have left, or are you replacing the 14w light and that's how much room you have total?
It looks like you might be a good cantidate for the "2 x 13watt Bright Kit™"
That's going to be a lot fo light for a 7g tank. With that much light you could grow corals.

Thats the size of the hood. I'm replacing the lights in that hood.
I know thats alot of light. Maybe too much unless I decide to do a nano-reef. But i'm prepared none the less.
thanx for all your help
