I have two tanks set up now, one fresh and one brackish, but I would like to start going the marine route. I have a 10 gallon that I would like to set up as a "nano-sw". I have several filters rated for over 20 gallons that I could use, as well as air pumps and an extra 6g tank that could be a sump. The problem is I have no idea how to set up this tank. Any advice on nano tanks with limited resources? Also any info on DIY sumps? Let me know..

I want a Nano too, however I've heard they can be rather advanced, and right now i am not. However, one of my hermits from the 29 was really picking on everyone else so i isolated him and one thing led to another. Its an eclipse 2.5 gal, i added an $8 Fluorescent from walmart. Right now its just one hermit, two very small pieces of Live rock and a small mushroom coral. Everything seems ok, but it hasnt been a week yet. Any ideas? Can i add any fish to a 2.5 Gal? it seems a bit small even for a goby. I am not sure if this is helpful or not but mine seems to be working. The Fluorescent heats the water to about 80-82 and i'm hoping its enough light for the mushroom.:hang: We'll see. I am also planning a 10 Gal Saltwater for the living room, but i have sometime before I'll be good to go onthat, let me know how it works out! -cal

If I were to do a ten-gallon SW tank, what equipment would be necessary? Would a filter rated for a twenty gallon tank be sufficient?

Thanks for the link atnixon
