The first time I have a brain in my RT, do I need to feed it and how? What special living condition does it require?

they prefer moderate to strong lighting. i never feed mine but my water is usually nutrient rich and it gets mysis and brine leftovers form my fish. way most feed em is by squirting some meaty shrimp foods like mysis or brine at it when it has its feeding tentacles out.
