I have been feeding my firefish Brine Shrimp enhanced with spirulina.
BUT... I want to obviously get him more variety. What else can I feed him? Bloodworms? Mysis Shrimp? Marine mix frozen food? Live Brine Shrimp? Are these all okay?
THANKS. Here's a pic of the little guy.

Whats a good marine flake food?
They're carnivores so I would stick more to the meaty foods. The brine has basically no nutritional value so if you continue to feed that I would soak it in some sort of vitamin supplement or cut down its feedings and only use it as a "treat." :)

the sperilina brine is already enriched and has plenty of nutrients...well as long as its the Hikari brand. but a food like mysis is always a better staple food.
Yes, agreed- spirulina is nutrient-rich! I bought a huge bag of it off of eBay for my Tangs. :)
I was just trying to tie that in with firefish being carnivores, since spirulina is considered blue/green algae. Sorry for any confusion!
Edit- the flakes I use are Omega One Marine Flakes (with garlic). Ocean Nutrition makes decent flake food too. I forget the differences between their Formula One and Formula Two but they can found in a lot of stores.

Thanks guys. :cool2:
I know what both you are saying about the brine shrimp. I just wanted to hear what people feed their firefish.
Looks like I gotta make a trip to the fish store!!!! Yummy.

I use frozen food, garlic, and nori. I get the "variety pack" frozen foods or whatever. Do you think the fish prefer all the different kinds blended together or a different kind each serving?

I have San Francisco brand Bloodworms. I believe it says for Freshwater or something, but what would be the difference? I can use these right?
