Hey guys,
Little backround on the tank im doing, 55gallon FOWLR ------> Indo-Pacific Reef (eventually). Corals will be mostly soft and in the LATER stages mabey some sps, but heres the lighting system, tell me what you think, Thanks guys!

I don't know if Odysea is good, but with 500 watts of MH and 260 watts of T5, you chould keep anything you want in your 55 gallon. Thats like over 10 watts per gallon!

I've actually heard rumors of those things catching on fire. I'd do a good bit of internet searching (here, google, reef central) before I bought that thing. Inexpensive light is a good thing, but so is a house that isn't burnt down.

What's the width of your 55g? My 55g is only 13", which means the mounting bracket probably won't work since the light is 15" wide

3 150 watt metal halides? sounds good to me. make sure that they're about a foot over the top of the tank or there'll be massize evaporation and water heating.

the new ones are pretty much identical to coralife
