speaking of diesel powered cars... have you seen the Audi Q7 V12 TDI concept? its got over 700 lbs of torque, enough to jet that SUV from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, and still gets 20 mpg. thats awesome.
i put in "my" car and it gets a little over 18 mpg... but hey, what do you expect from a a mid-large sized suv from Audi?

ooh.. gonna have to disagree there, ponyboy. german engineering is nothing but the finest. ;)
and yeah, the VW has that V10 TDI Touareg that has a comparable amount of torque... and similar mileage.. but somehow 60k just isnt an appealing price tag ;)
enough hijacking.. more mileages! :p:

64 gallons to drive from Los Angeles, CA to Buffalo NY in a '98 Civic. Just over $200.
I think I'd rather fly. :(
v/r, N-A
P.S. It would've taken me less than 50 gallons to go from coast to coast in my old '86 Civic CRX HF.

ill be surprised if you can find a cheaper plane ticket, though if you factor in hotels along the way, it probably ends up being cheaper than flying, but then you dont have a car to drive when you get there.

Spokane, WA to L.A. and back again. There and back again. A hobbit's journey in a van. :joke: 132 gallons. $440 bucks. Unless you're on the east coast. Then it's .43 cents a gallon cheaper. Are you feeling ripped off? I'm feeling ripped off. Are you feeling ripped off??? :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

Gas prices like this makes me so glad I have my '93 Suzuki Swift. 42 mpg freeway saves my wallet from getting too small

20 years ago nobody in my family (Mom or Dad's side, on either coast, plus those in the midwest) would've thought about getting a Japanese car.
Now, I can't think of one of us that even owns an American car.

v/r, N-AI agree. Years ago I would have never thought about getting my 40mpg "import" car. However, there are times when the power of a V-8 is needed, as in trailering the boat. Too bad hydrogen and electric cars have been put on hold... The hybrids have a long way to go before they are actually cost efficient.
