halo there...
in here (indonesia, south kalimantan), the LFS has told me to you macro algae to control my nitrate (the only one method here yet)
so... is it macro algae safe for my tank? and how to grown it up?
but even i already put those think around 2 month (i think) my nitrate still high.... :( ....
so.... can any body tell me about this macro algae or article in the web about this one

Your nitrates may be high because of build up in your substrate. That is really large and likely to trap unwanted debris. You should try to get some live sand and replace the chunks with it.

Also:
If that is an undergravel filter tube on the right side of the tank then you need to change filtration if you want to lower nitrates.
Now that I look at the picture and your stock list I realize that this is your refugium and I feel like an idiot that needs more coffee before I post.

i am still newbie in salt water tank.... that's why i got many problem here...
and it's a quite new hobby too in my town... so i can't find live sand here... and even i can... it's quite expansive... what i can do now is change my rock into live rock (already change 1/4 of my rock)
when i start this hobby... no body sold a live rock.. and nitrate also their problem too

are you allowed to take rocks and sand out of the ocean in indonesia?
if you can take some rocks and sand and rinse them out really well in saltwater and let them sit in a tank for about 2-3 weeks then add them to the refugium, that should be good and not expensive.
