I injected about 1/2 tsp Kent Zooplankton into the sand about 4" from my star as it was cruising the sand. It stopped and went straight to it and buried itself. Do you think it was actually feeding? It was a test because after I bought Sally the Sea Star (my daughter named it) I read that most end up starving and dying under your sand. I will try a few more times and if I get the same results I will let you know. If it works do you think about twice a week woudl be enough to inject the sand?

no need to feed them to that extent.. they can take fish food that sink onto the sand...

wouldnt inject liquid food into the sand...just going to cause problems in there long term. they should be fine if there is lots of micro fauna, a meaty piece of shrimp or silver side is enjoyed ever so often.
