I got a freebie snail the other day at the LFS. I was picking up a few nassarius and atrea snails and my son took a liking in a little black snail. The guy (owner) of the shop gave him to my son as a gift. The problem is that the snail (which my son named Titanic) keeps flipping on his back. I don't know what's happening I just keep finding him upside down. I do not believe his is able to right himself so I have to do it for him about 4-5 times a day! I don't know what kind of snail he is (if that matters..?) he is kinda neat looking tho... Why can't he seem to stay upright? Is he that clumsy? I'm totally confused...

i think that that is a black turbo snail, and yeah they are pretty clumsy. does it look like he's falling off the rock or the glass? or like something's just flipping him over? what kind of fish are in the tank?

Well if you have any crabs you wont have to worry about him too much longer. You might even see a new owner of his house! haha :)

try to keep it on the rocks to give the best chance of survival or "eviction"...

I think he's kinda falling from/off everything. At least once from the glass and a bunch climbing around the empty shells. The only fish in the tank right now are a pj cardinal and a blue neon goby.

that's possible I have a new 'supposed' albino hermit crab that seems like he may go for the snails... hopefully not tho i've got about 27 empty shells in the tank :)
