hey everyone. I recently got a canopyt for a 55 gallon and am slowly setting up a FOWLR aquarium. The canopy came with two fixtures for two 15watt bulbs. Is this sufficent enough to support Live rock and a couple anemones?

fine for rock because it needs no light...but anemones require lost of light halide or t-5 is best for them ore strong power compacts at least.

Alot of sites recomend about 4 watts per gallon. So you figure you have 30 watts of low power flourecents, it's less than 1 watt per gallon.

I also have a 55 and I have 4x54watt high output T5's and that puts my at 3.9 watts, so there are still some corals that I can't keep.

Lighting can be one of, if not, the most expensive parts of Salt Water Aquariums.

Also If you search "Lighting" on this site, you can find alot of helpful post about lighting questions.

Hope this helps.
