hi can anyone explain....i had my back glass on my tank covered with algae and over last two days it has gone and the glass all over the tank is clear....i was just wondering if this is a bad thing...water prems are good fish are ok.....:read:

When you say it was covered in algae..Are you refering to coraline algae or a different type?

Can you please post the following parameters..

Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate
pH
Calcium ( if you have a test kit )

What lighting you have in the tank and if any changes have been made recently.

Niko

yes it is coraline algae it is still on rocks but not as much...

ph = 8.4

sanity = 1021

nitrate = 0.0/0.1

nitrite = 12.5mg/1 test kit for this says very good water con

ammonia = 0/0.1 and going down

water temp = 26

lighting tubes to white 2 blue i have MH lights but have not put them up yet

the set up is approx 2 months old and i can get cal test kit ..i have never seen it do that before in my old tank.....

my algae is now out of controll, hair algae on the glass and other type on the snad, most of the rock is ok. how do i deal with this? I have posted before but still have the problem. How do i keep phosphates down? Not trying to steel the post but thought i would add some.
