I know u guys have alot of good info on this. I am looking for the economical filter. I'm willing to spend about $60, used skimmers are ok too. I had a Jebo did pretty descent while it lasted (about a year), I experienced more problems with the pump then anything.
Before this succeeding scale can be accurate what is the average life on skimmers that are in the $200+ range?
So bang for the buck: 1-10 scale 10 being the best deal

Jebo: 6
Sea Clone
Aquac Remora:
Odyssea
Coralife:

out fo those ones, i would strongly suggest a remora pro or one of the larger coralifes.

I have been using a Coralife on my 150 for a year now and have no complaints. Are there better options? Certianly. But, bang for the buck, it can't be beat.

I would also like to know about this...

Can you add Lee's and DIY skimmers to the list, They are definitely the cheapest route. but can they do a descent job (they were the only thing available for many years...)

I'd love to hear from some people with experience

i wouldnt bother with a Lees. you are right thought, you can make a pretty good skimmer DIY style. However, if you dont have the tools, it will end up costing a lot more than a pretty decent skimmer. If you do, you are still going to spend between 60-100 bucks depending on the model. ALso, you have to do tons of research. Different skimmers perform differently for more reasons than the amount of micro bubbles that they produce. there is size, style, injection, micro bubble production, ratio or air to skimemr size, etc.
