I have a 120G Fish Only Saltwater tank at work. After a Red Slime outbreak, I treated the tank with Red Slime Remover (Chemiclean). After a few days, the red slime disappeared, however the PH had dropped from 8.3 to 7.8 and went even lower in subsequent days. Any ideas on how to avoid this in the future? Is there a better product for Red Slime removal that doesn't decrease the PH? Thanks.

yes, good flow, reduced lighting and feed less often....all them can contribute to cyano issues...Also check your RO water for phosphates..

the product ur using is the "best" i can think of i have heard that if the ph isnt stable that it can cause fluxes...best way to control it is as Niko said...it all comes down to water quality.
