I made the mistake of wandering around some pet shops today, and I saw some bandit cory's (knew what they were since i had researched em while working on planning my orinoco biotope). I gotta admit, they are very fun little guys. Anyway, How bad would it be if I added two or prefferably three to my stocking list?

Heavily planted 29g
with 9 cardinal tetra's (In there now)
a pair of clown pleco's (coming very shortly)
and 1 angelfish

Now eventually when i move next, I am planning to roll everything over into a large community tank and eventually end up with some discus in the tank. Is temperature going to be an issue, how high can these guys go and still be comfortable?

That sounds like me ....

I try to avoid the LFS at all cost - keep adding to the tank when I go ...

What (I think) you need to worry about is how dedicated are you to maintaining your tank?

The more fish - the sooner it needs to be cleaned.

One thing that I did was get Magnum 350 canister filters.

For These Reasons It Works For Me:

When set up using double shut off valves on both lines - it is fast and easy to switch.
the filters cost around $15.00
The filters can be reused by following the cleaning direction in each box - and it really works!
the complete canister set up also has a gravel cleaner that hooks into the intake so you can rid the tank of fish droppings without doing any water change.

actually, i have a much harder time keeping my hands off. I ended up with a eheim 2213 and i've been pretty happy with it so far.
