This is my 55 gallon tank. I made the background with my bare hands. I know the lighting is weak, I am currently waiting for 2 new bulbs for the tank (currnetly shipping). The only fish in the tank now is my good old sucker fish. I will be adding plants too

I am also waiting to get some larger river stones for the bottom.

the sucker fish loves to move the sand out of the front right corner. annoying ,but if he likes it he can do it.

ignore the pictures on my wall, Its just Nixon on the left, goldmember in the center, and earth wind and fire on the right.

on the right there are river stones too, but the sucker fish covered them with the sand from the corner.

the background is styrofoam, concrete. I need to add a angle shot. the pics make it look like it has no depth.

Here is an angle shot. I even added caves for the soon to be cichlids.

will add more pics when I add more fish.

Great start ! Love the natural look you've achieved.

What africans are you doing ? Might want for some rockwork caves.

Cool tank :)

I plan on going with Lake Malawi, mbuna's.

From what I have read they love hiding in caves and such.

i drilled 7 caves in the background, and they can move sand for some more hiding spots.
