my dad has a seasonal pond he keeps(closes it down for iowa winters) I'm not sure what exactly he has in it now, but not a whole lot (he has a large tank he keeps them in over the winter) He had some questions for me i couldnt answer, so i thought i'd bring them here. is there any type of pleco that could survive this (he was hoping to put a few larger regular ones in, what temp varations can they survive(IE if the temp drops slightly at night)) and what type of plants would be best suited for this? Its a little over 1000 gallons, dont remember exact number. He was hoping for more colorful types i believe, doesnt need a bunch that will be top floating, as there is plenty of built in structures and caves for shelter/shade and the like. It does get sun from roughly sunrise to sunset, so pretty much all day. there is plenty of water circulation, from the several filters running to the higher pond(about half the size, with a 3 tiered waterfall trype deal going into the large pond.
