I have a little blue gourami (3-spot, not a dwarf) in my QT tank. My question is - what should its poop look like? I haven't had one before so I don't really know, and I don't assume that the ones in the LFS are healthy...

I got a chuckle out of this question, but fare enough.

Gouramis actually poop typically in a long hanging strand. It can be the length of their body, and at first I mistook it for an antenae thingy, but it can be anything from dark brown to light tan in color (depending on food)

Hope that helps! ;)

LOL, ya, what he said. It was weird seeing the poop coming out so close to the feelers. Never had a gourami before, it was new to me too! :)

Ok thanks!

I has long poop that trails out behind it sometimes, but usually it's the color of the food. Brown-ish for flakes, whiter for brine shrimp. It looks a little weird, so I wanted to know if it's normal...
