help, dying maroons ! urgent.

overnight my koran angel died which i believe is due to velvet.. he lost his black colours which look like it faded away, to a whitish colour..

right now, my maroons lost enthusiasm, and are swimming in an upward fashion, gasping for air.. dip them each into freshwater for a minute or so, doesn't seem to do any good..

is it velvet spreading?? how do i save them???

i've a bubble tip anemone which is doing well so far.
 
i would put them in a QT for a little while while any velvet bacteria(i think) die off in your tank. the FW dips don't do any good if you just put them back in infected water.

We can't help you much if we don't know what the PH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels are in your aquarium. If the remaining fish are gasping for air I'm inclined to believe that a die-off of some kind, perhaps part of the bacteria colony, has resulted in a low dissolved oxygen state in the tank. It's possible that their gills are fouled with a parasite, but without more information we're all just guessing.

Standard procedure for something like this is a very big water change, right now.

Are you running carbon? After the water change carbon may help remove any residual toxin if accidental poisoning is the cause.

What is your skimmer doing? Has the output increased noticeably?

yes all this info is crucial in helping ur fish.

and id second the water change and a QT if u can. nems arnt effected by fish diseases but if it looks well that means ur water is probably fine as well, but please give us ur current parameters.
