How many ghost shrimp would you put in a 10gal as the "cleanup crew?"

Yes, but I have alot of red ramshorn snails in my fry tank. I could put some snails in if needed.
Do the shrimp eat algae off plants and walls too? Most importantly, plants.. I can scrub the walls easily myself.
I already got them. I got 12 of them, which are all in there for now until I make sure no diseases are present. Then I'm moving some to other tanks. I'm going to keep a few in my hospital tank to keep it cycled.
Also, will a few ghost shrimp be okay in the 29 with my BN pleco in there?

If you want algae eating shrimps I think Amano shrimp are pretty good at it. Better then Ghost Shrimp. Sometimes they are referred to as Japanese Amano shrimp... harder to get usually and a little more expensive but may work better for ya.

with 3 gourami..not many.
Sirasoni is right. Unless you overfeed your fish you don't need many ghost shrimp to clean up. I keep 3 in my 10G and 5 or so in my 20G long.
With your stocking you could do fine with no bottom feeders at all if you do regular gravel vacs. But ghosts are pretty cool and cheap so I would put in a couple just to add some interest to the tank.

they will pick at any uneaten food and hardly touch algea... they will not eat enough to notice a difference
