I've cycled two 29g tanks in the past eight weeks and the prospect of cycling my son's new 38g seemed daunting. I took a dirty biobag from the double filtered fully cycled tank and stuck it into the filter of the new tank. I'm doing a fish cycle with seven small(juvenile?) danios and six red eye tetras. Today is day 5 and no measurable ammonia or nitrites have appeared yet. There's no nitrates either so I know it isn't cycled.
What is the approximate cycling schedule of a tank that has had some "help?" These don't seem like very high waste fish and I don't overfeed. Thanks all.
