Eheim 2217 filter Question

I was looking at a used one , there is no picture and it says

"Was used with bulkheads in tank, so no strainer or return nozzle, but does include some tubing" Does this means that it is missing parts, or does it mean something else and it will be fully funtional?

it means it has no spray bar. the water output is just a hose. but for most canister filters, there's a spray bar.

Yeah, it is also missing the intake, which is the green plastic piece it sucks water through to aviod sucking any fish with it. You will need to buy that too. You may also want to buy additional hose, as whatever he is giving you has already been cut to his specifications - your will undoubtedly be different.
