Hello all,
I'm Alan, living and working in Thailand, and keeping fish here too.
We can find betta in the puddles in the fields here, quite amusing to see some of the prices they sell for in Europe and America !!
My fish are kept in 2 plastic ponds on my balcony (plecos, rainbow sharks, tiger and green barbs, platys etc with 2 smallish tanks indoors for young fish that pop out of nowhere in the ponds all the time.
A very relaxing and rewarding hobby
Nice to meet you all

Alan

Hi. I hear they are jumpers... I can't say enough how neat a Youtube.com that would be, to see them puddle-jumping.

Ok, First, I'm no Betta expert, but the average price is about 10-20baht (30-60 cents) for a real good looking one. One with rainbow-ish colours etc will go for about 50 baht ($1.50)
