This is for my 20Hi tank which will house a single redcap oranda. The fish at the petshop are about 1 inch, maybe 1 1/2.

I glued the glass tile in place last night with aquarium sealent and will give it a couple days to cure, then I'll set up the tank sunday or monday, get the fish, plants and transfer the filter media.

I plan to get a Rena canister for this tank today or tomorrow. My plan is to take the biostars and one sponge out of the canister on my 75 and use that to seed the new tank. Is the temperature change going to affect the bacteria? They'll be coming from a tank that is 78 degrees to one that is room temperature (which this week isn't that much cooler).

I thought I'd get a Rena 1, which is rated for up to 45 gallons. The only reason I'm not thinking of an XP2 is current strength. Would it be too much for a little goldfish? If so, when the fish gets bigger I thought I'd move my XP2 to the goldfish tank, and get a new XP3 or an eheim for the 75. Or should I get an XP2 right from the start?
