I have a 150 gallon tank with fish and lots of coral. I want to add a calcium reactor. I have ruled it down to three: Korallin, Midwest Aquatics, or Knop. I am leaning towards the Korallin. I need a small foot print 8" or less. Will the 1502 supply my tank with enough calcium? I know they are rated up to 400g but someone had said that with his 135g he is still adding CA. I was thinking about going with the 3002 which hold double the media. Will the pump on the Korallin also be able to draw out of my sump? I appreciate any input as I want to make sure I have the right equipment.

From what I know of calcium reactors is that you need to have the lines and reactor full with water in order to get the system going and you not want it to drip any faster then what you need for you can find your calcium levels rising more then 500 PPM and as you tank become more stocked with corals, the demand for more calcium will be required depending on your live stocks requirements. As well, your skimmer will remove calcium from your tank, you need to be ready to make whatever adjustments that would be required. You might find it as well that you need to possibly dose your reservoir with kalkwasser. Also, you will be that is running a carbon dioxide tank as well? be sure not to have your bubble count so close to one another.
