Hi
I took my weekly trip to a couple of LFS's today - saw something called a fluidized bed filter - I've looked it up and have so far figured it's a bio-filtration beast - and being filter-obsessed like I am, it got me thinking - would it be practical on my 75g discus tank? The unit costs $130 + $17 for the sand and is good for 300g - so about the same as buying a second canister - which i think i need anyway. Thanks a lot

Fluidized bed filters are a good bio-filter as long as you prefilter it first ,but i have been told if the sand stops moving for to long all the bateria dies quit fast
