I was wondering if an Oscar and a GT will be ok together in a 75 gallon (48x18x20). If not what should I put in with the Oscar? Another Oscar? Blue Acaras? Firemouth?
people like to see oscars in a 75 gallon by themselves for some reason. i have an oscar in my 75 gallon, and i think there would be room for another one. you just have to have good filtration and syphon alot :) maybe a pair of convicts would go well in there.

But only if the convicts are not small enough to fit in the oscars mouth. otherwise dinner is served.
Cheers.

I doubt a gt and oscar will work. A gt is real aggressive, while a oscars is not that aggressive. The gt may kill your oscar or at least trap it in the corner of the tank or somethin.
If you want to keep the oscars, you could try:
firemouth
acara
severums
oscar
rainbow cichlids
You could also get some bottom feeders, like a knifefish or catfish of some sort.
I do not think convicts would be a good idea and a pair of them would be a bad idea. They are just too aggressive especially when breeding. Unless they are super small.

Introduce both of them in take and let them grow together, they will be fine. I would rather have an Oscar with a GT, since C.A. Cichlids could beat up either one.
Hmmmmm green terror and an Oscar in a 75 gallon aquarium. I guess the best answer for your question is....No. Unless you would like to see a mauled oscar. Grab ya a couple firemouths, they'd work great.

Good point but what if the pair are big enough to not be eaten. That oscar has a beating headed its way if its a breeding pair and depending on the males temper saying you get a male and female or two males, they don't really have to be breeding for that oscar to get a central american *** whipping
