I brought a pair of young black angels several months ago.

few days ago i noticed eggs in the tank, with the angels looking after them, so it seems i luckly brought a male and female

unluckly the tank is home to a sailfin pleco who i believe made a meal out of the eggs

how easy is it to breed, raise etc angels, cause if i can do it i'll rehome the sailfin to give them a better chance.

1st as it so happens..2 females may look like a breeding pair.
have you seen the breeding tubes?
this is just about the only concrete way to determine sex..the females tube/ovipositor is short blunt and thick
the males breeding tube is narrow and noticeaby longer.

watch next time(about 2 weeks) the females tube usuay stays out during the process.

that said..if it turns out you have a breeding pair..you will need to remove the sailfin(how big is this tank anyway?)

they may have to have several attempts before they get it right.

then you will either need to et the parents attempt parent raising or remove the fry.

take it one step at a time.
