I live in PA Dutch Country and most of our ground water contains high nitrates. Mine has tested as high as 22 mg/l. I am starting a new 65 gallon freshwater tank. Are there any products on the market that really work in reducing nitrates? I would like to keep the nitrates closer to 10 mg/l, but that will be impossible if my source water already is double that amount. Any suggestions?

There's the possibility of using RO/DI water with a mixture of yours... that's what I'm doing at the moment. If I think it's working how I want it, I might invest in the $100-$200 RO machines since it's 1.92 / 3 gallons at Walmart...
