hey folks this is my first post here and i just wanted to say im already starting to love this forum. Im currently in the process of building a stand/canopy for a 55gallon tank and ive got a few questions.

1. I resealed the tank with silicone. Only problem is that on of the corners, for some reason, i didnt go all the way to the top with the silicone. Theres about a 1in gap from where the silicone ends to the top of the corner. Do i really need to be concerned about it? or should i reseal the entire tank?

2. While looking at pictures of stands/canopys, i came upon one where the person had trim on the outside corners of the tank. Like the trim connected the stand and the canopy, so basically you couldnt see any of the silicone. I really liked the look but now i cant seem to find any pictures. I was wondering if anyone has a tank like that and wouldnt mind posting some pictures.

Thanks! Eric

To your first question, I do not think you need to reseal the whole tank, but you can seal the last one inch easily enough without taking the tank apart.

As for question number 2, are there some trim styles you like?
