OK, so once I have determined that my tank is stable and not on a mini-cycle, I plan to add a little more stock. Here is what I have in my 10g:
1 mostly very gentle and kind male betta
1 lonely male Sunset Coral Dwarf Platy who rubs up against the poor betta for love
1 gold mystery snail
some baby pond snails
3 live plants which are Java Fern, some type of Sword and Hornwort.
Obviously the platy needs someone who likes to be rubbed more than the betta (who ignores it but I'm sure doesn't appreciate it!) so I think I need at least one more male dwarf platy. What else could I have? Can I have just one more male dwarf platy or do I need two more to stop potential nit-picking. Anything that goes in must pose no threat to the betta or the snail so no shrimps that could eat the bettas fins and nothing that might nip the snail, although the platy was a real nuisance the first couple days with the snail but now is perfect with him. Thank you!!!
