Hi All.. my 72 gal tank is newly setup for about a month... and I was talk into buying a golden head sleeper goby which I found out maybe its a mistake.. I though the fish would be a very good cleanup.. Anyway I heard that they will eat lots of copepods and since my tank is newly establish... I don't think I would have any copepods if any by the way to support food sources. Can I go out and buy a bottle of the live pods and pour it into the MT.? . I got the fish about 3 days ago and I never see the fish outside the cave... its sifting sand left and right to create cave hole? will it starve the death real soon? Please help its such a nice fish I don't want it to died...

all gobies will eat prepared foods so get some mysis or enriched brine and it should be just fine. after the tank is established add some more pods and they will recover as well.

How can you feed the goby when they are always under the rock?

give it time. when mine is hungry it pops its head out form under the rock and gets some off. u can try some garlic guard to entice it to eat the food as well.

it can always be beneficial but gets expensive if used as the main source of food. as long as u have lots of rock the pods should live on and establish slowly.

if they are "tiger" pods don't buy them they nip at fish and cause irritation, and that's just not good.
