I am trying to get a 150 watt MH second hand so that should be covered.

What else should i get?

fairly simple question and no replys, wow great help. Im ordering tommorow so i guess only these two things is what i need.

Some other things you may consider are a surface skimming attatchment for the Remora, a second powerhead for aded circulation, some kind of thermometer, test kits (at least the basics), you mention a second hand light but how old is the bulb and is it due to be replaced? I alsodidn't see a heater mentioned, you may not need one much right now but I would have one anyway. A small powerhead for salt mixing is also a good addition or you could use an airstone and airpump to serve in the same capacity.

I have a maxi-jet 1200 already so extra flow (if needed) is covered, if the extra powerhead is not needed it would either go into a mixing container or freshwater tank.

I forgot about test kits, thanks for reminding me, i have a reef master test kit (phosphates, nitrates, calcium, alkalinity) and all i need to get now is ammonia and nitrite, should i get magnesium and stuff as well?

Yeah im probably going to get the prefilter attatchment to use with a phophate removing type chemical filtration.

The second hand, i have 2 offers, one on a viper for 175 and another for a sunpod 24" for 200, im trying to go for the sunpod since that is a great deal but the sunpod is older (january this year) Your right, i should get a new bulb for this. What bulb should i get?

ok on second thought, i am probably gonna get the tunze nano DOC skimmer, cheaper and pretty much just as effective if not more effective than the aquaC, just that its in the tank not external.
