I want to breed feeders in my 10g.... what would be the best species for this?

guppies.. they are rather plentiful, or perhaps convicts.. although i've never bred convicts, but i've had great successes breeding guppies. if you breed enough pairs in the same tank, inbreeding is less likely, and the more fry, the less that get eaten by the others. ;)

I second that. Get three guppy females and one male. Provide some hiding places for the fry.. Plants, real or plastic. You should be hip deep in guppy fry about once every 15 days or so.

i was thinking more along the lines of 6 to 8 females and 2 or 3 males...

in guppies?

males will have lots of colorful areas, females are drab and colorless. females are also quite a bit larger than males.

good deal... and i've read they do best in brackish waters. is being in freshwater gonna affect how often they breed?

well thank you very much for your responses good sirs! I, aswell as my oscars, appreciate the input!

happy feeding.
