Welcome....:hi: Iam not sure how many gallons a 2 1/2 foot tank would be, but it sounds like it could be over stocked......:)

You must mean 2 1/2 feet high, anyway you are fully stocked. As you probally know when those fish get bigger { which wont be long } they will need a larger home....:)

Hi! and Welcome.Like others have said it sounds like to many fish for one tank . Best rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish for every gallon you have. And as for the pregant fish if you put her in a breeding net to soon she will abort the babies. So if it has been 2 weeks with no signs and she doesn't show in gravid markings she may not be pregnant any more. Oh! and also watch out about mixing you community fish with you aggressive fish. Have fun and good luck!

Hi we are new to the forum! We have a 55 gallon tank and it contains:
4 tiger barbs
1 green barb
3 red tiger barbs
4 Kribensis
3 Corys - 1 panda 2 bronze
Pair of rosy barbs
1 black ruby barb
We have done better with the barbs (2 years now) than with the swordtails n platties. We switched to Barbs after I watched helplessly as Mr Gourami ripped Mrs Gourami to pieces. We even tried a perspex plate to seperate the tank into compartments but to no avail.
One day we would like to get into Oscars but think we would need to finish decorating the dining room and get a second tank for that.
I look forward to more reading and info...............

thats alot of fish for a 28 gallon...some will get to big and others will fight alot. you may want to ask fro some stocing help in general freshwater
anyway, enjoy your stay!
Hi & Welcome :) - you've already picked up that there's too much in that tank; best of luck getting the bigger one up and running; you might want to look at the mix of inhabitants as well as the size.
The old inch per gallon rule is quite misguiding btw.
