Hi, i have an open 10 gallon tank and i think vivariums are awesome. I just recently discovered this forum and want to turn my 10 gallon into one of these. Only problem is that i have no clue what i am doing. If i were to do this and what what i need to do for the setup, and what could i keep in 10 gallons?

What filter equipent would i need, any special gravel, lighting, what type of water.... ect

Buy a bag of gravel for the bottom (just for looks really) slightly slop it up on one side. Obviously, you will need more the how much water you want but their fine with 2 inches of water.
Get a bag or 2 or river rocks, just big enough so they can fit in the toads mouth. Pour them all ontop the sloped gravel and make it so theres land. Already with that, you have a nice looking vivarium.
I suggest a Fluval 1 plus filter, it was $18 but keeps the water clean for weeks.
Buy a long plant or 2, stick it in the water, they like to reset on them.
Get a little coconut hut for the land part
Get a vacuum hose (like used for fish tanks) and go through the gravel once every 2-3 weeks and do a complete water change. You need to do this or the drowning crickets, poop, any type of waste will just sit there and pollute the water untill its taken out. Let the new tap water sit out for a night before you change it!! you can add some water declorinator to be safe.
Another option instead of the rocks is a little turtle dock. You can get one of them pretty cheap and you can rest it on top of the sloped gravel and theres your land right there.
with all of that you should be good to go =)
