how do you feel about sterotyping species of fish, just because alot of people seem to have that experience? eg. damsels = agresive @$$ho's.

(took nixon's advise this seemed like a good thread.)

my two damsels and false perc are in a 29 biocube and get along better than expected from having so many in so small a space.

anybody with similar experiences/ different?
please, the floor is yours.

I think as a general rule these steriotypes work. There are exceptions to every rule, but i think labels help to give people an idea of what should be compatible most of the time and what usually isn't, but can be attempted with caution because there is a potential for trouble.

Having said that, I have kept 4 large angel species together in a tank without any aggression. Also a small Whitespotted bamboo shark with cleaner shrimp(even have picks of the shrimp cleaning the sharks) without a problem. I'm sure there are other people who have had problems with fish that are supposed to get along. Thats one of the beauties of this hobby, u just never know and the unexpected usually happens.
