I purchased a frogspawn coral from my LFS several weeks ago. I noticed recently that at night it leaves it's mouth gaping open for multiple hours (sometimes longer) and then sometimes it will stick it's mouth up in a kind of pucker (really weird). During the day he seams perfectly fine. I am not sure if this is because he is sick or trying to feed or what. The pictures are below (one of each stage), I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Also, my parameters are as follows,

0 ammonia
0 nitrite
10 nitrate
8.4 ph
1.022 salinity
? calc (no test, sorry)

Is anything coming out? Or is it just open? What lighting do you have and how big is your tank? It seems perfectly fine in the day... odd.

Nothing comes out of it and I have a 10g nano reef (I know most of you don't like these, but mine is doing well). Also, I have 80W 50/50 PC lights (8WPG).

1.022 is to the point of hyposalinity.

I'd slowly raise that up to 1.024 or 1.025, if'n I were you. My frogspawn pulls it's tentacles in at night...I think that's what they're supposed to do.

I know that they pull them in at night, but what about their mouths being open like that?

If anyone has any suggestions as to whether this is good or bad I would really appreciate it.
